A-MAX Insurance is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent in Garland, Texas. This in-office role focuses on helping customers understand and meet their insurance needs while building a client base through networking and marketing. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred but not required.
• Valid, current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license is highly preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service or insurance sales experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills.
• A valid, current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with insurance needs, including issuing new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop a clientele through networking and marketing.
• Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
• Complete continuing education courses required to maintain active license status with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI).
