Insurance Sales Agent - Bilingual
About The Position
ALPA Insurance is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Insurance Sales Agent to help customers select and manage insurance policies. The role is an in-office position in Sherman, Texas. The agent will assist with new and existing policies, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and customer questions; inspect vehicles to assess insurance risk; and develop new clientele through networking and marketing. The agent will also complete administrative work, coordinate with underwriting, and assist with daily housekeeping routines. ALPA provides intensive paid training from day one, covers licensing costs, and offers ongoing support and opportunities for career advancement. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company and proprietary software.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service or insurance sales experience.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
- A valid, current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with insurance needs, including new policies, edits to existing policies, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and answering questions.
- Inspect vehicles and evaluate their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are acceptable insurance risks.
- Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
