About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office position in San Antonio, Texas. The role serves customers seeking affordable, customized insurance and supports them throughout the policy lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong sales mentality, is motivated to succeed, and brings good organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus. A-MAX provides intensive paid training from day one, covers licensing costs, and offers ongoing support and career advancement opportunities. Compensation includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly. The position also includes benefits and paid time off.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
- Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service or insurance sales experience; preferred but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English; preferred but not required.
- Current, valid Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license; highly preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with insurance needs, including purchasing new policies, editing existing policies, making payments, renewing or reinstating policies, and answering questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are acceptable insurance risks.
- Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain an active license with TDI.
