About The Position

A-MAX Insurance is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office role in El Paso, Texas. The agent helps customers with insurance needs, explains policy choices, and supports customers throughout the policy lifecycle. The position suits a motivated, customer-focused person with a strong sales mentality and organizational and interpersonal skills.

A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, and continuing support for career growth. Compensation includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
• Complete required continuing education to maintain active license status with TDI; A-MAX pays for the courses.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service or insurance sales experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English ability.
• A current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with insurance needs, including issuing new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
• Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies for attracting new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
• Complete continuing education courses required to maintain active license status with TDI.
