About The Position

A-MAX Insurance is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Insurance Sales Agent to help customers understand and choose insurance policies that fit their needs and budgets. This is an in-office role in Aldine, Houston, Texas. The position offers hourly pay plus uncapped commission paid weekly, intensive paid training, and licensing assistance. A-MAX covers required continuing education courses for maintaining an active license. The company describes opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service or insurance sales experience; preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English; preferred but not required.
• A valid, current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license; highly preferred but not required.
• Strong sales mentality, desire to succeed, organizational skills, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with insurance needs, including writing new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
• Develop marketing strategies with the office manager to attract new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
• Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain active license status with the Texas Department of Insurance.
