About The Position

A-MAX Insurance is hiring an in-office Insurance Sales Agent in Ennis, Texas. The agent helps customers understand insurance choices and assists with policies and payments while building relationships with new and existing clients. The role is suited to a motivated, customer-focused person with a strong sales mentality and good organizational and interpersonal skills. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, and ongoing career support. Compensation includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong sales mentality, customer focus, and organizational and interpersonal skills.
Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain an active license with TDI.

Nice To Haves

Customer service or insurance sales experience.
Bilingual Spanish and English.
Current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with new insurance policies, changes to existing policies, payments, renewals, and reinstatements, and answer their questions.
Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
Seek new clients, identify prospective clients, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies for attracting new customers.
Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
Complete continuing education courses as needed to maintain active license status with TDI.
