About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Exclusive Agent to serve educators and their families in Jerseyville, Illinois. The agent will build and manage an agency, identify insurance solutions that support educators’ affordability and financial security, develop market access and relationships, and present products to groups and individuals. Success requires active networking and participation in community and industry events, along with investing time and resources in the long-term success of the business. The role offers performance-based 1099 compensation, an industry-leading 48-month incentive package, and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months. A dedicated Premier Service Representative handles client service work so the agent can focus on growing the business. Horace Mann also provides an exclusive niche market, technology, ongoing training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong business management skills.
Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
