About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent in York, Pennsylvania, to build and manage an insurance agency serving educators. The agent will help educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security by presenting products to groups and individuals, developing market access, and building strong relationships in the community. The role offers an exclusive niche and defined territory with no overlap with other agents. Agents receive a dedicated Service Representative for client service work, technology and training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. Compensation is performance-based and described as 1099, with incentives tied to activity and success during the first 48 months, including quarterly production incentives.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong business management skills.
Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.
