About The Position

Horace Mann is hiring an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The agent will build and manage an insurance agency serving educators, help clients pursue affordable insurance solutions and financial security, and develop strong market access and relationships. The role involves presenting insurance products to groups and individuals, networking in the community and industry, and investing time and resources in the long-term success of the business.

Horace Mann offers performance-based 1099 compensation, an incentive package during the first 48 months, a dedicated Service Representative for client service work, an exclusive territory, technology and training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. An external office is not required for the first two years.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business management skills.
• Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
• Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

• 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
