About The Position

The Hospitality Service Associate provides food service and customer support in retail areas, special events, and catering operations. The role involves safe food handling, preparing and replenishing food and beverages, maintaining production and temperature records, operating a cash register, and ensuring food items are paid for. The associate offers friendly assistance to visitors and staff, completes work orders for broken equipment, and participates in process improvement activities. Requirements

Prior food service experience.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to cooperate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal and stressful conditions.
Current Food Handler’s Certificate/Card valid in Oregon.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working on a computer preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle, prepare, and store food safely.
Replenish food and beverages in the cafeteria or at catered events as needed.
Record overages and shortages on the production sheet and record refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
Set up the workstation and properly prepare required items.
Operate the cash register, receive money, and reconcile the cash drawer.
Follow policies for charging special and free meals and weighted food items, and ensure all items taken from the Café are paid for.
Assist visitors and staff in a friendly and courteous manner.
Complete work orders for broken equipment.
Participate in process improvement activities.
Perform other duties as required.
