About The Position

The Food and Hospitality Associate works under the direction of the Cooks/Chefs. The role supports kitchen sanitation and meal service by washing dishes, cleaning equipment and kitchen areas, handling garbage and recycling, and organizing storerooms and coolers. The associate also receives deliveries, follows department dress and hairnet requirements, and attends scheduled in-services. This position is at Masonicare at Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, with day and evening shifts for 14 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Assist with general kitchen sanitation and follow proper sanitation procedures.
Set up the dish machine for meal service; wash dishes; sort silverware; and clean glasses.
Clean pots and pans using proper chemicals and procedures.
Clean kitchen equipment as requested by a supervisor.
Organize and clean storerooms and coolers.
Remove kitchen garbage to the dumpster and handle recyclable products.
Assist the manager and cooks with special cleaning projects as directed.
Wear the provided uniform cleanly and neatly, and wear hairnets as required.
Receive deliveries and rotate, stack, and organize items in the storeroom and coolers.
Attend all scheduled in-services.
