About The Position

Under the direction of the Cooks/Chefs, the Food and Hospitality Associate washes dishes and cleans equipment, floors, and other areas as required by sanitation procedures. The position supports kitchen sanitation and meal service, maintains kitchen equipment and storage areas, removes garbage and recyclable products, receives and organizes deliveries, and assists with special cleaning projects. The role is 20 hours per week, with day and evening shifts, at Masonicare at Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

Responsibilities

Assist with general kitchen sanitation and follow proper sanitation procedures.
Set up the dish machine for meal service; wash dishes; sort silverware; and clean glasses.
Clean pots and pans using appropriate chemicals and procedures, and clean kitchen equipment as requested by the supervisor.
Organize and clean storerooms and coolers.
Remove garbage from the kitchen and take it to the dumpster; handle recyclable products.
Assist the manager and cooks with special cleaning projects as directed.
Follow the department dress code, wear provided uniforms that are clean and neat, and wear hairnets as required.
Receive deliveries and properly rotate, stack, and organize items in storerooms and coolers.
Attend all scheduled in-services.
