About The Position
Under the direction of the Cooks/Chefs, the Food and Hospitality Associate washes dishes and cleans equipment and floors, and performs other requested sanitation procedures. This per diem position is with Masonicare at Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general kitchen sanitation and follow proper sanitation procedures.
- Set up the dishmachine for meal service; wash dishes; sort silverware; and clean glasses.
- Clean pots and pans using proper chemicals and procedures, and clean kitchen equipment as requested by a supervisor.
- Organize and clean storerooms and coolers.
- Remove kitchen garbage and take it to the dumpster; handle recyclable products.
- Assist the manager and cooks with special cleaning projects as directed.
- Follow the department dress code and wear provided uniforms that are clean and neat; wear hairnets as required.
- Receive deliveries and properly rotate, stack, and organize items in storerooms and coolers.
- Attend all scheduled in-services.
