About The Position

Miccosukee Casino & Resort is seeking an experienced, service-oriented F&B Cashier to deliver a welcoming and memorable guest experience. The role involves taking customer orders, making recommendations, providing accurate bills, processing payments, and ensuring that collected funds are reported and balanced before and after each shift. Cashiers also assist guests in designated areas and inform them about hotel facilities. The position requires a professional, positive, and polite manner when interacting with guests, coworkers, management, and outside contacts. The casino and resort operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and shifts may be rescheduled to meet business needs. The work takes place indoors in a smoking environment, with possible temperature fluctuations and moderate to high noise levels.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of cash handling experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays and weekends, and be willing and available to meet the resort's 24-hour, seven-day-a-week operating demands.
Must be able to communicate and work with others, receive direction, and provide feedback to achieve department goals and objectives.
Must maintain a positive attitude and interact with guests in a congenial and polite manner.
Must address stressful situations with clients with dignity, tact, and politeness.
Must maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude while working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts.
Must be able to move freely about the property and frequently walk, as well as stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods without restriction.
Must be able to lift or carry at least 30 pounds unassisted when performing assigned tasks.
Must safely handle supplies while maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to environmental contaminants, including smoke.
Must be able to walk, stand, and sit regularly; climb and use balance occasionally; and frequently use hands and arms to carry and lift items.
Must have close and distance vision.

Responsibilities

Take customer orders, make recommendations, and provide accurate bills.
Process cash and credit card transactions and assist customers with checkouts.
Report and balance all monies collected, including counting and balancing cash boxes before and after each shift.
Adhere to Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance.
Greet guests in a friendly, positive manner and help them feel at home.
Assist customers in their designated areas and inform guests about hotel facilities.
Bid guests farewell, using their name when known and inviting them to return.
Provide stellar customer service to all patrons.
Maintain professional conduct and follow company standards, work requirements, and rules of conduct.
Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
