Email Marketing Manager - Hubspot

We Are Rosie•Boston, MA
•$50 - $58•Remote

About The Position

The Email Marketing Manager will own hands-on execution of a high-volume fall email program in HubSpot for two SaaS products serving political campaigns. The role partners with a full-time Email Strategist, who sets strategy and targeting, while the Email Marketing Manager builds, quality-checks, schedules, and sends campaigns. Email is the primary channel for re-engaging and onboarding customers, and sends must be accurate and on time. Volume peaks through Election Day, with fixed send dates, requiring fast, independent work and careful attention to the send calendar and pre-send checks. The position is remote and requires working EST hours. The engagement is approximately 25 hours per week for about three months, starting as soon as possible, with potential for extension. The hourly rate is $50–$58.

  • Advanced, hands-on HubSpot experience, including building emails, workflows, automations, lists, and segments.
  • A rigorous quality-assurance habit covering links, personalization tokens, rendering, and audience logic.
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability best practices.
  • Experience managing a high-volume send calendar on tight, fixed deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work autonomously with a busy strategist.
  • Alignment with the mission of supporting Democratic and progressive candidates and causes.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for email templates.
  • Experience with lifecycle or onboarding programs for a product with a free-to-paid or activation model.
  • A/B testing experience with subject lines, content, and send timing.
  • A strong SaaS background.

Responsibilities

  • Build, quality-check, and schedule HubSpot activation emails, including conversion, 10DLC texting registration, GOTV, and early-voting campaigns.
  • Build and maintain automated, triggered flows, including drop-off recovery and onboarding nurtures that guide new signups to a published campaign website.
  • Execute election-timed sends to customer audiences in the final stretch before Election Day.
  • Build and maintain segmented target lists in partnership with the data team.
  • Own the fall send calendar, quality-assurance process, and deliverability checks.
  • Report on send performance against engagement goals of 30%+ open rate and 4%+ click rate, and flag what is working.
