About the position
The job overview for the Director of Paid Social role at CTC is to establish and strengthen the media team standards at CTC. The director is responsible for embodying and educating the team on CTC's core values, expertise in advertising platforms, and media acquisition benchmarks. They provide guidance during industry shifts, ensure effective utilization of CTC's tools and systems, and disseminate and enhance comprehension of media team standards internally and externally. The director is also responsible for creating business value, empowering and coaching the team, fostering an environment of excellence, and embracing diversity of thought.
Responsibilities
- Set and reinforce CTC's media team standards
- Act in accordance with CTC's values and teach the team to do the same
- Possess expert knowledge of advertising platforms and CTC's media buying standards and philosophies
- Share knowledge and measure its adoption and impact throughout the system
- Provide direction to the team during industry changes and coach on how to use CTC's tools and systems
- Communicate, reinforce, and build understanding of CTC's media team standards to other departments and client partners
- Write blog posts, share on social media, and participate in industry events to advocate for CTC's media buying methodology and tools
- Create business value for CTC's client partners
- Empower, coach, and guide the team to use CTC's media buying methodology and tools
- Increase individual skills to create value for CTC's partners and themselves
- Foster an environment for exceptional people to excel
- Embrace diversity of thought and hold ideas to a rigorous standard of critique and validation
- Be an educator and learner at all times
- Hold the legacy of the collective in high regard and seek to improve CTC
- Develop a deep integration of META Ads Platform into the CTC ecosystem
- Be a subject matter expert for social advertising in the company and industry
- Own, develop, and progress relationships with reps and partners
- Define and report on goals and key performance indicators
- Track progress towards targets and intervene when necessary
- Excel/Google Sheets expertise for data analysis and decision-making
- Deliver continuous improvements within an e-commerce/transactional driven environment
- Have general knowledge of e-commerce marketing methods and drive for innovation
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership and clients on social initiatives and growth opportunities
- Build relationships and hold people accountable
- Articulate performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities to executives and stakeholders
- Be curious and continuously seek knowledge and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 8+ years of experience with at least 2 years of managing teams
- Expert knowledge of social advertising platforms, including META Ads Platform and Shopify
- Familiarity with additional social advertising platforms such as TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis
- Experience in e-commerce/transactional driven environments
- Knowledge of e-commerce marketing methods and a drive for innovation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to hold people accountable
- Curiosity and a desire for continuous learning and improvement

- Salary range: $125k - $145k base salary annually
- Bonus structure: Director [25% of your annual salary]
