About the position
The Director HR Business Partner at MOLOCO will partner with senior leaders to drive the People and Culture strategy, supporting Engineering and Sales. This role will provide targeted support in the areas of HR strategy, employee relations, people operations, data/insights and analytics, organizational design, and change management. The Director will operate as a strategic business partner to develop and deliver the full spectrum of HR service, products, and systems that drive business performance. The role will work across geographies and be based in Seoul, Korea in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of professional HR experience with proven success in senior HR roles, leading teams, and partnering with senior executives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and build trusted relationships with leadership to understand their priorities and provide support on delivering bespoke business goals.
- Develop strategic and operational plans to achieve results and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives through training and development initiatives.
- Partner with HR leads in Center of Excellence teams to generate new ideas, support program development and implementation, and promote HR initiatives to the organization.
- Analyze data to determine trends, areas for improvement and recommend and/or implement appropriate strategies.
- Track delivery against the case for change using analytical and data-driven approaches to business and organizational issue analysis.
- Advocate, implement, and coordinate change initiatives to support enhanced organizational effectiveness within the business (with particular focus on new operating model agendas).
- Drive initiatives that involve complexity and require deep business partnering as well as organizational transformation experience. The right candidate will need to have the ability to consult, coach, and influence senior executives, lead business initiatives, and collaboratively partner at all levels.
- Participate in key regional HR initiatives including staffing, performance management, compensation strategies, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, benefits, recruitment and retention, organizational effectiveness and collaborate with the global team on such.
- Lead through change for business restructuring and transformation
- Identify key performance indicators for the organization's human resource and talent management functions; assess the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Consult with staff and senior leadership on complex employee relations issues and initiate action plans to address and resolve issues.
- Coach and advise staff and senior leadership on matters regarding conflict resolution, relationship building, and effective communication.
- Coordinate with legal counsel as needed in regard to employment-related legal matters and policies.
- Assist with and advise senior leadership on employment and works council legislation as well as disciplinary action procedures, coaching, counseling, and documentation.
- Act as an employee advocate.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 8 years professional HR experience with proven success in senior HR roles, leading teams and partnering with senior executives.
- At least 4 years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
- Extensive senior HRBP experience from medium to large matrixed organizations (ideally partnered with leaders who are accountable for multiple locations and geographies).
- Partnered and coached senior stakeholders in driving a successful people agenda (through proven results).
- Familiar with KR labor laws and employer standards, ability to commute to our Seoul office.
- Ability to handle ambiguous situations in a startup environment.
- First class leadership skills; able to inspire and motivate around a continuously evolving agenda designed to delight our customers.
- Experience in partnering with a business undertaking a transformation (both culturally and organisationally).
- Experience opening entities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking/long term opportunities with execution of operational tasks.
- A track record of excellent internal as well as external stakeholder management at all levels.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and sensitive information in a persuasive, structured and clear way.
- Strong data focus in all that you do!
- Ideally you will have partnered with Engineering and Sales functions previously, and have worked within a global tech organization.
