About The Position

Tranquillity, a Sonida Senior Living community in Frederick, Maryland, is an assisted living retirement community. The Dining / Culinary Services Assistant serves residents and guests in the dining room, assists with food and drink preparation, prepares and serves snacks, maintains refreshment centers, and completes dining-area setup, cleanup, and dishwashing. The role follows established food-service procedures and safety and sanitation standards, and adheres to a regular schedule of work activities and assignments.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
• More than 12 years of education; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests seated in the dining room in a professional manner, following established procedures.
• Assist with drink and food preparation for residents.
• Complete assigned cleanup, wash dishes, and set up and take down dining areas.
• Prepare and serve snacks and replenish stock items in residents’ common-area refreshment centers.
• Maintain procedures that meet safety and sanitation standards and ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
• Follow the regular schedule of work activities and assignments to support effective food service.
