About The Position

The Culinary Services Assistant helps create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for residents at Sonida Senior Living. Working with the community team, this role supports food and beverage preparation and service, dining-area setup and cleanup, and sanitation practices while following assigned schedules and procedures.

Requirements

• Have a caring attitude and reliable attendance.
• Possess a Food Service Sanitation Certificate as required by state or local requirements.
• Have experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Be able to read and understand recipes.
• Be able to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time, and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Some supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests in the dining room professionally and according to established procedures.
• Assist with drink and food preparation for residents.
• Complete assigned cleanup tasks, wash dishes, and set up and take down dining areas.
• Prepare snacks and replenish stock in common-area refreshment centers for residents.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to support compliance with governmental regulations.
• Follow the regular schedule of work activities and assignments to ensure effective food service.
