About The Position

The Culinary Services Assistant helps create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for residents at The Ashton at Mayfield Heights. Working with the community team, this role supports dining service and food preparation while helping provide a positive resident and guest experience. The position is listed at $16 per hour.

Requirements

Must possess a Food Service Sanitation Certificate as required by state or local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years old.
A caring attitude and reliable attendance.
Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
Ability to read and understand recipes.
Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred but not required.
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Some supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve residents and guests seated in the dining room professionally and according to established procedures.
Assist with drink and food preparation for residents.
Perform assigned cleanup, wash dishes, and set up and take down dining areas.
Prepare and serve snacks and replenish stock in residents’ common-area refreshment centers.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures and applicable governmental regulations.
Follow the regular schedule of work activities and assignments to support effective food service.
