About The Position

Vintage Gardens, a Sonida Senior Living community in St. Joseph, Missouri, provides care to residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. The Culinary Services Assistant serves residents and guests in the dining room, helps prepare food and drinks, handles dining-area setup and cleanup, and replenishes snacks and refreshments. The role follows safety and sanitation procedures and the regular schedule of work activities and assignments to support effective food service.

Requirements

• Twelve or more years of education; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests seated in the dining room in a professional manner, following established procedures.
• Assist with drink and food preparation for residents.
• Perform assigned cleanup tasks, wash dishes, and set up and take down dining areas.
• Prepare and serve snacks and replenish stock in common-area refreshment centers.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to support compliance with governmental regulations.
• Adhere to the regular schedule of work activities and assignments to assure effective food service.
