About The Position

The Culinary Services Assistant works at The Waterford at Mesquite, a Sonida Senior Living independent living community in Mesquite, Texas. The role serves residents and guests in the dining room, helps prepare food and drinks, supports dining-area setup and cleanup, and replenishes snacks and refreshments. The assistant follows safety and sanitation procedures and the regular work schedule to support effective food service.

One to two years of experience in a similar position is preferred. Twelve or more years of education and a high school diploma or GED are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests seated in the dining room professionally and according to established procedures.
• Assist with drink and food preparation for residents.
• Perform assigned cleanup, dishwashing, and dining-area setup and takedown tasks.
• Prepare and serve snacks and replenish stock in common-area refreshment centers.
• Maintain safety and sanitation procedures to comply with governmental regulations.
• Follow the regular schedule of work activities and assignments to support effective food service.
