About The Position

Codal is hiring a hands-on Digital Marketing Lead to own demand generation across paid, organic and AI search, directories, partners, email and social. The role will build and lead the team responsible for these channels, including GEO, AIEO and SEO specialists, and deliver qualified leads to sales teams. This is a builder role for an experienced digital marketer who has worked in a growing consulting or professional services firm and remains able to develop briefs, build campaigns, analyze performance and improve funnels directly. The Digital Marketing Lead owns pipeline contribution from digital channels, sets budgets and targets, establishes the monthly operating cadence, and reports lead volume, cost per qualified lead and pipeline influence to leadership. In partnership with Sales, the role defines qualified leads and develops lead scoring and routing in HubSpot, providing SDRs with the context needed to convert leads. The position leads the strategy and execution for GEO, AIEO and SEO, including technical and content programs such as entity and schema work, citation and source building, answer-engine-structured content, and measurement of AI-driven visibility. The Lead also evaluates AI search and marketing tools hands-on before introducing them to the team. The role hires, onboards and manages the digital marketing team across paid, SEO, GEO, email and marketing operations, as well as agency and contractor partners. It develops campaign, content, landing-page, attribution, dashboard and quality-assurance systems, coaches a hands-on team, and partners with sales leadership, practice and industry leads, and content, events and partner marketing teams to execute coordinated campaigns. The position is based out of Codal’s Chicago headquarters with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week onsite. The base salary range is $120,000–$160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
