About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Property Manager to work independently at multiple self-storage locations. The role involves helping customers identify storage solutions and selling packing and moving supplies. Property Managers inspect storage units, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments, including making reminder and collection calls when needed. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with time spent walking around facilities, performing cleaning and maintenance, and maintaining the grounds.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment, such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or another service-based company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations or conduct other work-related business.
• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.
• Ability to spend up to 50% of work time outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and recommend suitable options.
• Sell packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current on payments, including making reminder and collection calls when required.
• Clean and maintain facilities, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
• Travel between properties or conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
