About the position
The job overview for this role is that Reforge is seeking a content strategist to develop content for their new product, Work Artifacts. The content strategist will be responsible for interviewing top tech operators, synthesizing their experiences into compelling stories, and publishing them on the platform. Additionally, they will collaborate with the Product team to improve content creation processes and deliver an engaging user experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in content design, qualitative interviews, writing and synthesis, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Uncover and tell the stories of operators through Work Artifacts
- Interview subject matter experts to gather insights and translate them into compelling content
- Collaborate with the Product team to improve content creation systems and processes
- Deliver an engaging user experience with the new type of content
- Co-own the creation, delivery, and iteration of work artifacts and other content products
- Define and scale content creation processes to deliver valuable artifacts and achieve business goals
- Promote experts and artifacts through additional assets like social posts, clips, and blog posts
- Own potential future tasks and work streams uncovered through the product-market fit discovery process
- Get up to speed quickly on new topics
- Conduct qualitative interviews with subject matter experts
- Synthesize insights and ideas into short, substantive copy
- Manage and execute processes with multiple collaborators
- Understand user personas and needs to create content products that meet the audience's needs
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to use content management systems
- Comfortable with simple data analysis using spreadsheets and graphs
- Familiarity with video editing tools and understanding when to use video versus written content
Requirements
- 5-8 years of editorial, journalism, tech/business, publishing, or consulting experience
- Subject Matter Understanding and ability to quickly grasp new topics
- Experience conducting qualitative interviews with subject matter experts
- Strong writing and synthesis skills to create short, substantive copy
- Project management experience with multiple collaborators
- Nice to have: UX understanding and ability to create content products that meet user needs
- Nice to have: CMS experience with in-house and third-party systems like Notion and Figma
- Nice to have: Comfort with data analysis using spreadsheets and graphs
- Nice to have: Experience with video content and basic video editing tools
