About the position
The job overview for this role is that the company is seeking a Content Marketing Lead to join their Marketing team and help build the brand and drive growth. The Content Marketing Lead will be responsible for creating a cohesive content marketing strategy, managing the Creatives and Social Media team, and working closely with the Co-Founder. The main focus of the role is to grow the brand, increase brand awareness, boost customer engagement and retention, and generate leads. The ideal candidate should have experience in content/brand/influencer marketing, management, and excellent writing and editing skills. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the company's growth and build the Marketing organization from its early stages.
Responsibilities
- Craft compelling short-form content and scripts with an approachable, knowledgeable, conversational tone
- Develop new and innovative content ideas around Creator finances
- Manage and execute reaching content deliverables across social media platforms
- Develop and execute strategies to grow market presence, increase brand awareness, and boost customer engagement and retention
- Utilize storytelling and insights from the community to craft and iterate the brand story
- Build top-of-funnel lead generation in partnership with the sales team
- Align all marketing activities, products, and services around the narrative
- Lead Karat event functions with support from the Creative team
- Partner with the Scriptwriting and Creative team to produce and post content on social media platforms
- Partner with the Data team to drive data-informed decisions on future content
- Lead and develop a high-performing team
- Use a mix of team members, outside services, and automation to achieve goals
- Reinforce a culture of curiosity, creativity, risk-taking, and ownership
- Have 5+ years of content/brand/influencer marketing experience
- Have 2+ years of management experience
- Have excellent writing and editing skills and expertise in creating language and content strategy
- Have an analytical mindset and knowledge of SQL
- Understand social platforms and retention tactics
- Have strong event planning or event coordinating experience
- Have expertise in creating and executing multi-touch, multi-channel marketing programs
- Have the ability to navigate a fast-changing environment and build things from the ground up
- Be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City
Requirements
- 5+ years of content/brand/influencer marketing experience (in b2c, SEO, organic strategies)
- 2+ years management experience - leading & developing a high performing team
- Excellent writing and editing skills and an expert in creating language, and content strategy
- Analytical mindset, knowledge of SQL (a plus!)
- A grammar expert who can adapt to different tones and styles of writing and learn from audience reaction to scripts
- Understanding of social platforms and retention tactics (eg. Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
- Strong event planning or event coordinating experience
- Expert in creating and executing multi-touch, multi-channel marketing programs that leverage inbound and outbound tactics
- Ability to navigate a fast-changing environment and build things from the ground up
- Based in Los Angeles, San Francisco (strong preference) or New York City - we’re a remote team, but creators concentrate on the coasts
