Full Time - Cashier - Day
About The Position
As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure every customer exits the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You answer customer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, and help customers get the best value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, with single lifts limited to 75 pounds and powered equipment used as required with proper training or assistance.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the associate's state.
