About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure every customer exits the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, professional checkout experience and helping customers get value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions, supporting payments and exchanges, and assisting customers in self-checkout. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying or extreme weather and temperatures, damp or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting requirements vary; associates must follow lifting guidelines, limit single lifts to 75 pounds, use team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and use powered equipment when required with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
