About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You answer customer questions and assist with payments and exchanges, scan and bag items, and support customers in the self-checkout area. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, move carts, or perform other assigned duties. You help maintain a clean and safe workstation. The role may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores, and work may take place indoors or outdoors in varying weather and noise conditions.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
