About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers finish their visits with a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You assist with payments, exchanges, customer questions, and self-checkout, helping customers get the best value and leave the store satisfied. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role supports Lowe’s stores and communities by serving customers in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires reading, writing, basic arithmetic, computer use, and the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Associates must be able to lift at least 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments, varied and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
• Follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
• Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
