About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions, assisting with payments and exchanges, and supporting a clean and safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed.

Work may take place indoors and outdoors, with exposure to changing climates and conditions such as extreme heat or cold, wet or humid weather, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting requirements vary by role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
