Full Time - Cashier - Day
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly checkout service and helping them get good value. Most of the work takes place at the register, but you may also answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed; regular travel is not required. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, as well as constant or intermittent noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary by role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
