Full Time - Cashier - Day
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you provide a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience, helping customers leave the store satisfied and get the best value for their money. You will answer customer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, operate a register, and proactively help customers in the self-checkout area. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, move carts, and complete other duties as needed. The role is fast-paced and involves maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Work may take place indoors or outdoors, with exposure to varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
- Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts or powered equipment are used as appropriate.
