About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive impression by providing a quick, friendly checkout experience and helping them get the best value. Most of the work is at the register, but you may also answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

The position does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, moisture, wind, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods depend on the role, weight, and volume. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
