About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly checkout and helping them get good value. You may answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, and proactively help customers in self-checkout. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe workstation and may require occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Follow lifting guidelines, which limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts and powered equipment are used as required, with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
