About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure every customer leaves the store with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly checkout service and helping customers get value for their money. Most of the work is spent at the register, but you may also answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role is suited to someone who enjoys helping customers and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. The position does not require regular travel, although occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use powered equipment as required, and obtain proper training or assistance.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to lift at least 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
