CASHIER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Eurest is hiring a full-time Cashier at the Pfizer location in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Kitchen experience is required. The pay range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. The Cashier performs sales and payment transactions, maintains accurate cash drawers and reports, and provides friendly customer service. The role may also include general food service work, such as replenishing supplies and keeping service areas clean and stocked. The position requires maintaining sanitation standards and complying with service, inventory, cash-control, ServSafe, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Kitchen experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales transactions in a timely manner and enter sales into the cash register accurately.
- Make change, accept declining-balance cards and other acceptable payments, and issue receipts.
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer complies with overage and shortage standards.
- Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and distinguish standard portions.
- Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining clean service areas.
- Keep the pastry case stocked.
- Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
