CASHIER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Cashier at UF Health Spanish Plaines in Lady Lake, Florida. The role performs cashiering duties, including processing cash transactions, verifying the cash drawer, making change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. The cashier may also perform general food service work and maintains sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas. The position pays a fixed rate of $16.37 per hour. The schedule is full time, with days and hours that may vary; further details are provided during the interview. Previous customer service experience is required. Requirements
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales transactions in a timely manner.
- Enter sales into the cash register to accurately record purchases.
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment, and issue receipts.
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer meets overage and shortage standards.
- Observe customer purchases in the café line and distinguish standard portions.
- Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and general supplies while keeping service areas clean.
- Keep the pastry case stocked.
- Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
