About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You assist customers with payments and exchanges, answer questions, and help them get the best value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, though you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Travel is not regularly required, but occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and can include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, moisture, wind, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts and powered equipment are used as appropriate.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
