About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure every customer has a quick, friendly checkout experience and leaves the store satisfied. You answer customer questions and assist with payments and exchanges, helping customers get the best value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, though you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
• Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
