About The Position

Seasons Supermarkets is seeking a friendly, dependable, customer-focused part-time Cashier for the day shift. The Cashier provides fast, accurate, and courteous checkout service and helps ensure customers have a positive shopping experience. The role involves processing purchases and payments, supporting customers, and maintaining an organized checkout area while following company procedures.

Requirements

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic math skills and confidence handling cash transactions.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability and punctuality.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with a friendly, professional attitude.
Accurately scan merchandise and process customer purchases.
Accept cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, EBT, and other approved payment methods.
Count back change accurately and balance the cash drawer.
Bag groceries carefully, protecting delicate and perishable items.
Answer customer questions and direct customers to the appropriate department when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
Follow company cash-handling, security, and loss prevention procedures.
Verify identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
Assist with returns, exchanges, and price checks following company procedures.
Work with supervisors and fellow associates to keep checkout lines moving efficiently.
Perform other front-end duties as assigned.
