About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create memorable guest experiences by greeting guests, taking and accurately processing orders, offering menu recommendations, and delivering food. The role also includes maintaining clean, inviting guest-facing areas and working with managers, kitchen staff, and Hospitality Team members to provide smooth service and resolve problems. Team members are expected to adapt to changing situations, listen carefully, communicate clearly, and attend to guest needs.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications.
• Obtain required certification(s) by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and make guests feel welcome and valued.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations that account for guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly, offer refills on chips and drinks, and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Work collaboratively with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
