About The Position

The Cashier/Runner is part of Torchy’s Hospitality Team and helps create a positive guest experience by taking orders, running food, and providing friendly, attentive service. The role involves greeting guests, learning the menu and promotions, making recommendations, maintaining clean guest-facing areas, and working collaboratively with managers and the kitchen to deliver smooth and efficient service.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service work experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Provide welcoming, attentive hospitality and help guests feel valued.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations that consider guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly.
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and ensure efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
