About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create memorable guest experiences by greeting guests, taking orders, running food, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued. The role includes learning the menu and current promotions, making personalized recommendations, keeping guest-facing areas clean and organized, and working with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to provide smooth service and resolve problems. Team members may also perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service work experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide welcoming, attentive hospitality throughout each guest’s visit.
• Learn the menu and current promotions and make recommendations tailored to guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly.
• Offer refills on chips and drinks and look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
