About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create a memorable guest experience by greeting guests, taking orders, running food, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued. The role includes learning the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations, keeping guest-facing areas clean and organized, and working with managers, the kitchen, and the Hospitality Team to provide smooth service and resolve problems. The position also involves performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications.
• Required certification(s) must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of work experience providing customer service in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and make guests feel welcome and valued.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations that accommodate guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly, offer refills on chips and drinks, and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Work collaboratively with managers, the kitchen, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
