About the position
UnitedMasters is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. This role will support the activities of Brand Partnerships, focusing on relationship building during the prospecting and pitch process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UnitedMasters' positioning and be able to effectively communicate this to clients. They will collaborate with various teams to develop and implement external proposals, initiate and develop relationships with key prospects, and support the proposal response process. The Business Development Manager should have comprehensive knowledge of music culture and be passionate about developing artists. They should also have excellent communication skills, a sense of ownership and accountability, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Support the overall activities of Brand Partnerships with a focus on relationship building during the prospecting and pitch process
- Build and present pitch decks and support outbound development efforts
- Administer and implement revenue growth strategies and tactics for the company
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Music, and Talent teams to develop and implement external proposals
- Initiate and develop relationships with key prospects to identify and meet their business needs
- Create and customize presentations based on prospects' brief, goals, timelines, and budget parameters
- Support and finalize scopes of work and staff plans in partnership with other teams
- Respond to RFPs and manage the proposal response process
- Have comprehensive knowledge of music culture and be passionate about developing artists
- Operate with limited resources within a growth-stage organization
- Take ownership and accountability over the pitch process from initiation to sale execution
- Confidently present to clients and incorporate feedback while staying true to the brand
- Work under tight deadlines without sacrificing the quality of work
- Work smarter vs harder
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in account management and/or sales
- Proficient in Google Suite (slides, sheets, docs)

- Competitive salary range ($80,000 - $100,000)
