About the position
We are seeking an Executive Group Data Strategy Director to join UnitedMasters, a well-established independent agency and thriving music business. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the planning, execution, and delivery of Cultural Intelligence, as well as driving entrepreneurial ideation for brand partners. You will apply strategic rigor to ongoing and future brand offerings, analyze tools and models, and ensure the quality and accuracy of reported data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data marketing, social data tools, and research skills, with a passion for understanding consumer behavior and culture.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing, guiding, and enforcing the planning, execution, and delivery of Cultural Intelligence
- Helping lead business development opportunities with brand partners
- Applying strategic rigor to the interrogation of ongoing and future brand offerings
- Critically analyzing tools, formulas, and models to identify and solve problems
- Exhibiting a builder mentality for the betterment of the company
- Ensuring the quality, clarity, and accuracy of reported data
- Identifying ways for clients to invest more in data expertise
- Building data products and department growth
- Having a substantial grasp of social data tools
- Demonstrating expertise in social intelligence, social media analytics, and/or media performance data
- Having excellent quantitative and research skills and proven data interpretation capabilities
- Possessing exceptional verbal and written communication as well as data visualization skills
- Having a curious mind and a passion for understanding what drives consumers and culture
- Translating data's potential within marketing/advertising
- Informing and measuring the cultural impact of commercial work
- Collaborating with strategy, media, and/or creative teams
- Leading teams in the development of measurement plans and campaign learning agendas
Requirements
- Visionary team leader capable of building data products and department growth
- Formalized data/marketing-specific training
- Substantial grasp of social data tools
- Excellent quantitative and research skills and proven data interpretation capabilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication as well as data visualization skills
- Curious mind and a passion for understanding what drives consumers & culture
- 10 years of experience translating data's potential within marketing/advertising
- Established/desired practice of informing and measuring the cultural impact of commercial work
- Demonstrated expertise in social intelligence, social media analytics, and/or media performance data
- Deep experience with advanced analytics concepts
- Proven ability to think creatively about data collection, manipulation, and application
- Vetted track record collaborating with strategy, media, and/or creative teams
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Leading teams in the development of developing measurement plans and campaign learning agendas
