About the position
As an Atlassian Architect on the Client Engineering team at DoorDash, you will be responsible for owning and managing the Atlassian environment, including workflows, system maintenance, plugins, integrations, and project management support. Your role will involve establishing scaled solutions, reducing manual efforts, and driving automation and integration through APIs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to simplify Jira project management and enable self-service. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to revolutionize current processes, automate system maintenance, and contribute to the re-architecture of the Atlassian environment for sustainability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Own the re-architecture of the Atlassian environment, focusing on sustainability and scalability
- Drive deeper integrations across collaboration tooling through Jira, automating manual workflows
- Work closely with stakeholders for Jira project management, simplifying processes and enabling self-service
- Utilize Groovy scripting for validators and post functions
- Continually review current processes and seek improvements
- Automate system maintenance and error monitoring
- Translate technical plans into clear financial business cases
- Drive automation and integration through APIs, building complex scripts outside of Atlassian
- Be part of a startup within a large enterprise, moving fast and building for scale
Requirements
- 7+ years progressive experience in IT system administration and architecture
- Previous background as a PM or TPM
- Detail-oriented and can translate technical plans into clear financial business cases
- Experience with current tech stack: Okta, Slack, Gsuite, Zoom
- Experienced driving automation and integration through APIs
- Able to build complex scripts outside of Atlassian (Python, BASH, etc.)
- Desire to be part of a startup within a large enterprise
