Associate Manager, New Verticals - Catalog Strategy & Operations

The job overview for this role is to lead and shape DoorDash's future Catalog strategy in convenience, grocery, alcohol, and retail as they transition to a Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence-first platform. The role involves working on strategic programs to ensure catalog excellence, impacting tens of millions of items on the DoorDash platform and the customer experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a world-class catalog system that benefits merchants, Dashers, customers, and advertisers. They will also analyze data to drive business decision-making and gain a deep understanding of grocery and retail operations.

• Lead high visibility projects, overseeing the development of Machine Learning models and ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Build a high-quality product catalog with accurate information, high quality scores, and operational checks and controls
• Help develop the strategy for groceries/perishables and general retail operations, creating quarterly and annual plans
• Advocate internally for solutions to enhance the user experience and advocate for necessary resources
• Analyze data to drive business decision-making
• Learn about US and International grocery and retail operations, product roadmaps, and capabilities

• Experience in developing and overseeing the development of Machine Learning models
• Ability to build and maintain a high-quality product catalog with accurate information and operational checks
• Knowledge of grocery and retail operations and ability to develop strategies in these areas
• Strong collaboration and advocacy skills to enhance the user experience and unlock growth
• Proficiency in data analysis and using data to drive business decision-making
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think innovatively
• Comfortable operating at both high and low levels of detail
• Experience with complex SQL queries and data visualization tools
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in high-performing cultures and leading teams to achieve goals.
