About the position
Careem is seeking an Associate Director of UX Research to join their global UX Research team. The role involves conducting end-to-end user research and collaborating with strategic partners in technology and product teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and lead the user-centric future at Careem, working on key initiatives across mobility, food delivery, and payments. They will utilize design thinking methods, storytelling techniques, and data-driven insights to create innovative solutions and influence strategic decision making. A background in psychology or human factors is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end user research in all aspects of the customer experience
- Work closely with strategic partners in technology and product teams independently
- Advocate for the users at Careem
- Bring innovation to everything you do to shape and lead the user-centric future at Careem
- Shape product experiences from initial conversation with stakeholders to implementation and feedback/improvement
- Utilize design thinking methods to create the best possible solutions
- Collaborate with product managers and designers for your products
- Use effective storytelling techniques to communicate with and energize stakeholders
- Set up processes for automation of recurring data generation and UXR templates
- Establish synergies between cross-functional teams and leverage cross-vertical insights
- Ensure visibility of research studies among relevant stakeholders
- Define problems using data and create proposals, recruitment questionnaires, discussion guides, and visual reports
- Plan and facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions
- Generate segments, journey maps, and blueprints
- Define information architecture, design, and copy guidelines
- Conduct quantitative validation of insights
- Influence strategic decision making
- Hold a MA/MS in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, or Human Factors
